TUESDAY August 3, 2021: 'TOKYO 2020: Going For Gold!' from ZUMA Award winning Photographers in Tokyo: Daniel Anderson, Paul Kitagaki Jr, Paul Kuroda, Scott Mc Kiernan, David McIntyre and Joe McNally: After a one-year delay, the Tokyo Olympics officially began under tight Covid-19 restrictions. The first week of the Tokyo Olympics is complete and we've already seen some memorable moments. Simone Biles has performed and pulled out in dramatic fashion, then came back to medal on the balance beam. In the year leading up to the delayed Summer Olympics, public opinion polls in Japan showed people overwhelmingly against holding the Games in the country. Some feared it would spread the coronavirus. Others complained about the high costs. But now that Olympics are underway and Team Japan is doing well, people in Japan seem excited. And we're just getting started. There's plenty more sport to come at the Tokyo Olympics. Welcome to 'TOKYO 2020: Going For Gold!'
