Launched WEDNESDAY March 18, 2020 on www.zReportage.com Story #728: The coronavirus pandemic changes life as we know it, globally almost 200,000 people have the disease and the death toll is climbing towards 8,000. The outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China and which has now been detected in more than 150 locations internationally, including in the United States. The virus has been named 'SARS-CoV-2' and the disease it causes has been named 'coronavirus disease 2019' (abbreviated COVID-19). All 50 states in the US now have confirmed cases. The European Union has closed its borders for 30 days. Millions across the world have been put under lockdown. Governments are pumping huge sums of stimulus funds into their economies to keep industries from collapsing. These images are from ZUMA Press photographers covering the outbreak around the world.

According to the Iranian Ministry of Health, at least 139 people diagnosed with coronavirus COVID-19 in the country and 19 people have died in Iran. Iran's government rejected claims of a much higher death toll of 50 by a lawmaker from the city of Qom that has been at the epicenter of the virus in the country. The name of the Mosque featured is ''Imamzadeh Saleh's mausoleum'' or ''shrine of Saint Saleh''. The mosque is located at Tajrish Square in Tehran's northern Shemiran district.
