A minute of silence was observed throughout the country in memory of the victims of the deadliest violence in France since World War II. Thousands of mourners dropped off flowers and lit candles at the attack sites around Paris, paying tribute to the victims of the deadly attacks. All the names of the victims have not yet been released by authorities. In the wake of the Paris attacks, President Francois Hollande has extended a state of emergency for the next three months and promised to wage war on the terror group Isis, which has claimed responsibility for the attack.
