In a country already suffering from a severe lack of resources, government unrest thrives. For nearly two decades, the Lord's Resistance Army has transformed thousands of Uganda's innocent children into bloodthirsty killers in the hopes of overthrowing Musevini, the country's current leader. The northern Ugandan camp run by Gulu Support the Children Organization helps child soldiers get rehabilitated and reintegrated into society. Photojournalist Bea Ahbeck documents the stories of three former soldiers at the camp who are brave enough to speak out about their experiences in the bush and how they escaped a surely tragic fate.
