Our Brother's Keeper

Leon Adams, 27 and a bipolar schizophrenic, is struggling to rebuild his life after stints in jail and a life on the streets. Placed into the Our Brother's Keeper halfway house on the order of a judge, Adams has been able to get off of all of his medications, get his GED, and hold a legal job for the first time in his life.

Leon was arrested Thursday May 7th 2008 in Clearwater for possession of cocaine, while on leave from the program to attend a funeral. Diversion program director Duncan McCormack said it was difficult to tell what the outcome of the arrest may be. "We'll have to wait and see how Judge Campbell feels about it,"
